The Awards were presented in the categories of Best Film (“Milana”), Best Director (Suri for “Duniya”), Best Actor in lead role (Ganesh in “Cheluvina Chittara”), Best Actress in lead role (Pooja Gandhi in “Krishna”), Best Actor in supporting role (Rangayana Raghu in “Duniya”), Best Actress in supporting role (Sumithra in “Milana”).

Some of the special awards of the evening were Saptaswara Award for the seven music directors, Snehajeevi Awards to Dr. Vishnuvardhan, Ambarish, Srinath and Ravichandran and the Dr. Rajkumar Trinetra awards to his sons Shivraj Kumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar.
