Tele-screen accolades

Confident Group-Asianet Television Awards will be given away at an award ceremony at Ambedkar Stadium, Kochi, on March 9.

Confident Group-Asianet Television Awards have been declared. Only those serials that were telecast on the channel during the last one year were considered for the awards.

The awards, in 17 categories, will be given away at an award ceremony on March 9 at Ambedkar Stadium, Kochi.



Anand

The serial ‘Swamy Ayyappan’ bagged five awards. In addition to the serial being selected as the most popular one, its director, Suresh Unnithan, has been selected as the best director and the lead actor, Kaushik Babu, Devan and Nandu have won the awards for the most popular actor, the best supporting actor and the best comedian respectively.

‘Ente Manasputhri’ also bagged five awards. Selected as the best serial, the programme has won its actors a handful of awards. Srikala, Sona Nair, Jayan and Archana have won the awards for the best actor, best supporting actor and best negative roles respectively.

Playback singer Manjari has won the award for the best singer for her title song in ‘Ente Manasaputhri.’ Anand Kumar is the best actor and Baby Nikita the best child actor.

The awards for the best newcomers have been won by Adithyan and Sneha Nambiar.



Devan

‘Pranayame,’ the title song of ‘Nombarapoovu,’ has been selected the best song while G. Venugopal’s title song in ‘Srikrishnaleela’ has won him the best singer award.

Prasad Nooranad (‘Nombarapoovu’) and K.V. Sasikumar (‘Sanmanasullavarku Samadhanam’) have been selected for the special jury award.
