Dhansika plays the role of Charmi, a rape victim, in her film Thiranthidu Seese that has just released. In a press statement, she admits that she was initially confused if she would be able to pull off her part.
“The entire plot is based on real-life incidents and my character, built on very fine lines, had to emote complicated scenes that could even change the colour of the film,” she states.
She adds that it is a film for families. “It strongly opposes social evils such as alcohol and women abuse. I’m proud to have been associated with a team that has social concerns at heart,” she says about the Nimesh Varshan-directed movie, which also stars Veeravan Stalin, Narayan and Anjena Kirti.
