January 14, 2015 08:02 pm | Updated 08:02 pm IST

Soil and Soul is organising a workshop on water that will cover different challenges the world faces: understand the natural water cycle and its interconnectedness with food, various steps to inculcate as our lifestyle and to contribute back to earth’s regeneration cycle, water healing and dynamisation process based on experiential learning, practical methods to implement water conservation, and explore sustainable lifestyle choices.

The workshop also includes the screening of a film and a DIY component where you will get to make your own natural alternatives to detergents, cleaners, fabric conditioners, vessel cleaners, and shampoos. The workshop is on January 17 at 10 am at M. Visvesvaraya Rain Water Harvesting theme park in Jayanagar 5th Block, 8 main, 40 cross. For the DIY workshop, you will need to bring the following: one two-litre empty plastic bottle, two half litre empty bottles, 300 gms of citrus peels (sweet lime / orange / lemon - any or even all mixed), 100 gms of jaggery.
