The Chennai Adoption Drive (CAD) organises an adoption drive on Sunday. The drive will give people a chance to adopt vaccinated Indian puppies and kittens free of cost. Actor Trisha, the group’s ambassador says, “The new year is a chance to start afresh. While I am happy that more awareness has been created in the year that went by, there’s still much more we can do. Make a difference to every animal you see by fostering or adopting.”

With over 500 successful adoptions to their credit, CAD also provides information and guidance on raising pets (for first-timers) and will conduct a brief interview with the adopting family. The adoptions take place at no cost and will require submission of address and ID proof for their records. Chennai Adoption Drive will take place on December 30 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 78/1, McNichols Road, Chetpet.
