What you need

Aval -1 cup

Jaggery - 3/4 cup

Coconut, grated - 1 tbsp

Cashewnuts - 10

Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp

Ghee - 4 tbsp

Cooking instructions

Wash the aval and soak it for 15 minutes.

Fry cashewnuts and grated coconut separately in two spoons of ghee and keep aside.

Make jaggery syrup and filter it, stirring until you get a sticky consistency.

Now add the aval, and mix well cooking on a reduced flame.

Finally add the fried coconut, ghee and cardamom powder.

Decorate with cashew nuts and serve hot.
