This is the true story about the women in Hitler’s life. His famed relationship was with Eva Braun, who lived with him at Berchtesgaden, and married him only hours before their suicide pact in the Berlin bunker. The story of his 19-year-old niece – Geli – is, however, unknown. She became the focus of Hitler’s obsessive love until she died under mysterious circumstances in his Munich flat.

In a parallel universe, where some things are forbidden and secrets abound, Lyra Belacqua’s life in Jordan College changes when her uncle, Lord Asriel, mysteriously disappears during an expedition in the far north, and her friend Roger is kidnapped by evil gobblers. She befriends Mrs. Coulter, an influential socialite, to go on a journey north only to realise that she is not what she seems to be. Lyra has to now use the power of her golden compass to save not just her uncle and friend, but the whole world.
