‘So Exciting Need To Savour Again' — this is how the island of Sentosa in Singapore, likes to call itself. Indian families have, over the years, made Singapore a preferred tourist destination. And, once there, the 500-hectare island resort of Sentosa, boasting more than 200 attractions, beaches, adventure sports and luxury residences, is on most of their travel itineraries.

And now, Sentosa has a lot in store exclusively for Indian visitors. The Sentosa Development Corporation has identified 12 Indian travel agents from Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi as its preferred partners. So, planning your trip will now be more hassle-free than ever.

Once there, you will be spoilt for choice. To begin with, there are at least five different ways to get there, including the iconic and now-upgraded cable car and their shuttle service, which drops you right inside the island from the airport. Or, zip into the island in less than four minutes in their train. The cable car now has the world's first VIP jewelled cabin, which is encrusted with Swarovski crystals on the inside, and jewelled LEDs on the outside. In the coming year, Sentosa will have its first timbre broadwalk, 620 metres long, and running over the harbour. At night, fireworks from the island, specially displayed for walkers on the broadwalk, will fill the 15-minute walk with priceless sights.

At Sentosa, you can find something for every member of your family. If you want to learn how to surf, head to the wave pool, where three-metre-long waves will recreate the sea for you. Or, if you are in the mood to fly, the zipwire at the Megazip adventure park will let you fly over the forest canopy. The banana boat ride and the Universal Studios are two other must-see things.

There is deep-water yachting, go-karting, and a one-of-a-kind gravity ride, among other attractions. Sentosa will soon be adding the iFly Singapore, touted to be the world's largest skydiving simulator, to its itinerary. It is set to take your adrenaline levels to the sky with its transparent wind tunnel allowing 20 flyers to take the big leap and be treated to the sight of the scenic South China Sea and Sentosa's Siloso Beach. And, all this will not cross the S$ 100 mark.

Taking this luxury adventure a step further, Sentosa has on offer, spa retreats, championship golf courses, casinos, five beaches, and the breathtaking Songs of the Sea show. And, if you are longing for some comfort food after all the fun, there are special menus being introduced just for Indian guests. So, are you packing your bags, already?
