Chennai’s Blue Cross shelter calendar (that comes in desktop and wall-hanging formats) ‘Together we walk’includes handicapped pets that were adopted from their shelter, along with the large-hearted Samaritans who gave them forever homes. Chennai Adoption Drive’s desktop calendar titled ‘Fur-ever families’ is an appeal to people to adopt homeless dogs. “All they want is a meal and a warm, safe place to lay their heads,” says co-founder Jennifer Jacob who has chosen 12 of these fairytale endings for the calendar. Mangalore-based Animal Care Trust (ACT) features heart-warming pictures of puppies, kittens, cattle, monkeys and birds. Some of them are shown cradled in the arms of their rescuers and caretakers. Bangalore-based Compassion Unlimited Plus Action (CUPA) — Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre (WRRC) has a desktop calendar too.
