Diamond-studded dials with hand-engraved sunburst effect (supernova dial design), sapphire crystal studs, chronometer and chronographs — luxury watch brand Omega recently launched an exclusive range of Constellation Chronometer, Seamaster Planet Ocean, De Ville and Speedmaster collections.

One for all

“We have watches for men and women,” says the spokesperson for Omega. “And in this collection, we offer a style range for everyone. We have watches that go with ethnic clothes and evening attire. The Seamaster and Speedmaster series are sporty and for youngsters and those into sports such as golf or sailing. De Ville is a mix of classical and contemporary, and is targeted at people aged over 40.”

While the market for luxury watches in Chennai is not yet as aggressive as in the rest of the country, it is picking up, he says. “In Chennai, there is a good market for gold watches. While the market here hasn't reached the level of other cities in the country, we've been doing very well in the last five years. Since as a brand we produce watches in gold with added features, people come forward to buying our watches.”

There will be 24 watches on display — offering something for everyone. “Our Planet Ocean series has a bigger 44mm dial and comes with or without diamonds. All our watches have about 10 or 12 extra features. Also, we offer a four-year warranty. This collection is for those who like to indulge in absolute grandeur,” he says.

The price range of this collection is from Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs. 23 lakh. The watches will be on display at Omega's Express Avenue outlet till September 25.
