With summer upon us, what better way to beat the heat than with some refreshing ice-cool drinks. Here are some easy-to-make summer coolers.

Cucumber lemonade

Ingredients

Lemons: 2

Sugar: 1 or 2 tsp

Cucumber: 1

Method

Mix lime juice with sugar until dissolved. Peel and deseed cucumber, chop, mix in blender. Add ice cubes. Add lemon-sugar mix. Mix again in blender. Serve decorated with lemon slice

Tropical ice coffee

Ingredients

Cold coffee: half a glass

Coconut milk: quarter glass

Sugar: to taste

Vanilla ice cream: one scoop

Method

Mix cold coffee with coconut milk. Add sugar to taste. Add vanilla ice cream. Decorate with a coffee bean and a little grated coconut.

Tea fizz

Ingredients

Light black tea: half a glass

Juice of half a lemon

Sugar: to taste

Soda: half a bottle

Method

Brew a glass of light black tea and let it cool. Add the juice of lemon. Add sugar or sugar syrup according to taste. Add cold soda and ice cubes. Decorate with mint leaves and lemon slice.
