A patriotic song from the upcoming Tamil film, Puthiathor Ulagam Seivom , will be premiered on TV channels on Independence Day today. The number, ‘Desam Engal Desam’, already has a celebrity fan — former President A.P.J Abdul Kalam!
Says K. S. Nagarajan Raja, who has worked on the story, screenplay and dialogue: “We reached out to Kalam sir through his manager and explained what the film is about. Kalam sir also saw the song and loved it.” Music for the film has been composed by Pravin Saivi, who has also acted in it.
The film introduces children who became famous as singers in a TV reality show. It revolves around three children trying to correct the wrong ways of their father and showcase a message pertinent to today’s society.
