Carrot delight
Ingredients
Carrot: 2
Cashew nut: 8
Almonds: 6
Sugar: 2 tbsp
Milk: half litre
Method
Peel the carrot and boil it. Grind cashew nuts and almonds into a fine powder.
Blend the cooked carrot, powdered cashew nut- almond powder and sugar and make it into a fine paste.
Add chilled milk and serve it cold.
Nutty apple
Ingredients
Apple: 1
Dates: 4
Cashew nut: 4
Almonds: 4
Small banana (poovan pazham): 1
Chilled milk: half litre
Sugar: 6 tbsp
Method
Deseed the dates and soak the dates in milk for 20 to 25 minutes or until it becomes soft.
Grind the cashew nuts and almonds into a fine paste. Peel the apple and cut it into small pieces.
In a blender, add apple, banana, dates, cashew nut - almond powder, milk, sugar and blend well.
Serve chilled.
Minty watermelon
Ingredients
Watermelon: 2 cups (chopped)
Sugar: 2 tbsp
Mint: 2 leaves
Lemon juice: 2 tsp
Water: As required
Method
Blend together all the ingredients well until the mixture is smooth. Strain and serve it chilled.
Icy tender coconut
Ingredients
Tender coconut water: 1
Tender coconut flesh: 1 coconut
Cardamom: 2
Ice cubes: as required (crushed)
Method
Blend the tender coconut flesh, sugar and cardamom to a fine paste. Keep it aside in the fridge.
Pour in the tender coconut water and ice cubes.
Blend it again. Serve chilled.
