Chennai:Nearly 400 students of Pallavaram Municipal Middle School in Keelkattalai and more than 200 students of St. Thomas Mount Panchayat Union Middle School in Madipakkam received free notebooks and school bags at a function on June 16. The free bags and stationery were handed over by Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Educational and Medical Trust for the 14th year in succession. Municipal Councillors K. Viswanathan and M. Gnanasekaran and representatives from civic groups were present on the occasion.
The trust functions from No.1, Rajendra Nagar, Keelkattalai, with the objective of helping the economically weaker sections of the society and also to prevent school dropouts. The funds required for the above projects are mobilised through donations from public. The trust is a public Charitable Trust registered under Income Tax Act and the
