Daily wage labourer

What is your most prized possession?

My family and my house.

If you were granted a wish what would it be?

I am not as young or as healthy as I once was. I can no longer do the kind of odd jobs I used to do be it unloading goods or working in the fields.

Your biggest fear?

I have none. When you have done jobs like killing snakes for instance, you learn to have no fear.

What does happiness mean to you?

Happiness is being with my family and doing the work given to me to the best of my ability.

If you could, what would you undo?

I wish I had tried harder in my younger days to get a steady job.

Saleena Faisal, 43

Homemaker

What is your most prized possession?

That has to be my family – my husband and two kids.

If you were granted a wish what would it be?

I wish that my children will always be healthy, happy and secure.

Your biggest fear?

Nothing, really, apart from the fear of being afflicted with some major disease.

What does happiness mean to you?

The happiness of my family. If they are happy I am happy.

If you could, what would you undo?

I’d make the laws of the land stricter.

Sreeram S., 25

Law student

What is your most prized possession?

Two wheels and an engine.

If you were granted a wish what would it be?

To cause as little hurt to others as possible. To try and keep every one happy.

Your biggest fear?

Losing my dear ones.

What does happiness mean to you?

Freedom to travel without any worries and tension for as long as I want.

If you could, what would you undo?

Turn back the clock five years, and live those years again, but differently from what I did.
