Yashraj television is back with its second innings on Sony Entertainment Television with Khotey Sikkey. A fast-paced thriller, it tells the story of five privileged youngsters and one stubborn cop who solves crimes in an unorthodox manner.
The show was launched at F-Bar, MGF Metropolitan mall in New Delhi recently. The entire cast was present along with the business head of Sony, Ajit Thakur, at the launch.
The “khotey sikkey” were introduced by Vikas Kumar who plays the role of senior inspector Damodar Deshmukh. Purush Chibber, Hasan Zaidi, Mark Parikh, Sukhmini Sadhana and Dilkush play the five “khotey sikkey.”
“We started a year back and now we are doing it again. Last time, we launched five serials together, but this year we will launch shows one by one,” said Thakur at the launch. Another series Kismat, a saga of two families, will be launched soon, he added.
The production house is trying to pay attention to each show, according to the channel representatives.
In Khotey Sikkey, characters bear many shades of grey and will gradually embark on a journey of self discovery.
Initially the show will be aired twice a week and will be turned into a daily soap depending upon the audience response. Guess Yashraj television is taking it really slow after the lessons learnt from last year's failure.
