After getting a Telugu hit under her belt with Gabbar Singh, Shruti Hassan seems to have fallen in love with Hyderabad. Though Kamal and Sarika’s girl has a sprawling apartment in suburban Mumbai, she keeps returning to the city of minarets. We hear that the actor is stationed in Mumbai for pursuing professional commitments and her frequent trips to Hyderabad recently have been part of her promotions and her success parties post Gabbar Singh. She had even made a trip to the city to catch her film house full in one of the theatres.

Quite a show

Irrfan Khan is once again on a roll overseas. He plays Dr. Ratha of Oscorp in The Amazing Spider-Man that’s being awaited eagerly. He says he did it only for the experience, for his appearance is brief. However, later this year, in November, another highly-anticipated movie of his, Ang Lee’s Life Of Pi, will be released.

Eat and be slim

Celebrity nutritionist Pooja Makhija launched her first book Eat.Delete and Preity Zinta did the honours. Pooja caters to top Bollywood celebrities such as Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Karan Johar, among others. The book talks of weight loss and the best mind-and-body approach to get there. Preity arrived looking very trim in fitted jeans and top. She is readying for her first home production Ishkq In Paris, in which she plays the central role.
