Shot Cuts: Turning producers

Director Arun Kumar Aravind and actor Murali Gopy who have worked together on Ee Adutha Kaalathu and now Left Right Left, are turning producers under the banner Karmayug Movies. Their first project is Vedivazhipadu, written and directed by debutant Shambu Lekshmi Purushothaman, a graduate of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata. “It’s an interesting story of male bonding; an out-and-out comedy that unravels during an Attukal Pongala,” says Arun. The film, which stars Murali, Indrajith, Saiju Kurup, Jojo, Mythili, Anumol and Anusree in the lead, will begin in May. The movie is set to release around Onam.
