In a clear case of real imitating reel, RJ and actor Senthil and actress Sreeja, who rocked the small screen in Saravanan Meenakshi, got married on July 2 in Tirupati. It was a family affair and no celebs were present.
The couple is now back in Chennai. “It was a wedding arranged by the family,” says Senthil, last seen in a substantial role in Vallavanukku Pullum Aayutham . “We have known each other for quite some time now, and we’ve been great friends. Love was never part of the equation. But, thanks to our chemistry on screen, everyone presumed we were a couple. Our families were searching for a suitable alliance, and every time, our on-screen chemistry came in the way of other alliances. That’s when they decided to get us married.
And, since we got married publicly for the serial in front of thousands of people, we decided to keep it an intimate affair for the real wedding!”
The actor-RJ says they meant to make a joint announcement, but a driver who accompanied the group to Tirupati leaked the photos online.
