A peek into Prabhu Deva's life.

A peek into Prabhu Deva's life.

The reticent Prabhu Deva opens up his lifestyle to his craziest fan for UTV Stars’ show Live My Life . “When we told him we wanted to feature him on our show, he told us there was nothing exciting about his life!” says Shifa Maitra, director, programming (shows), UTV Stars.

Of course, then the actor-choreographer-director got so involved in the making that he insisted that his ‘craziest’ fan eat at Mumbai’s Naturals Ice cream outlet at Juhu where he is a late-night regular!

On the show’s sequel, Shifa says, “When we stopped at 16 episodes, we got fan mails with suggestions on celebs they would want to see featured on the show. Even the stars sent us feelers about including them,” reveals Shifa.

More celebs

While the essence of the show remains the same — with fans stepping into the shoes of their favourite stars and spending special moments with them — now the channel has broadened its fan base to include cities such as Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Jammu, Kolkata, Indore and Lucknow, among others.

The second season will open with Hrithik Roshan and include Saif-Kareena, Shruti Hassan (with Prabhu Deva) and younger stars such as Arjun Kapoor, Ayushman Khurana and Parineeti Chopra.

The show is expected to have a 10-episode run this time.

( Live My Life will be telecast at 7 p.m. on Sundays from October 21)
