Singing talent hunts, stunt manias, laughter challenges, pauper-to-millionaire quiz shows, dance shows, live-in shows, swayamvars… thought you had it all when it came to Indian reality television? Now, Zoom is out with Oxybleach Pure Model India's International Face 2010 , model hunt and fashion reality show.

The show started on June 5 with the auditions in Mumbai, followed by auditions in Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune and Bangalore. The winners, one male and one female, will get an opportunity to walk the ramp at the fashion weeks in Milan and Paris.

The Delhi auditions were held at The Ashok recently. Fashion designer Mandira Wirk and model Shruti Agarwal were the judges. Said Mandira about the show, “The show is a wonderful opportunity for modelling aspirants. The winners will be trained and groomed, and would finally get the exposure every model dreams of.” Talking about the modelling scenario in India, Shruti Agarwal said, “India is making its impression on the international fashion industry by leaps and bounds. We need to take initiatives like this to further cement India's position on the world map.” Asked about why the Indian modelling industry today lacks enduring supermodels like Milind Soman and Nina Manuel, she said, “Yes, that was the case till recently… but things are changing quite fast in a positive direction.”

The hunks and damsels sashayed down the ramp to hip-hop tunes, donning creative outfits. Said Sandeep, a contestant with the perfect six-pack, “I have always dreamt of being a successful model. It is my passion and I am here with the hope of living my dream.” The winning contestants from the Delhi round were Anurag, Harsh, Anikait and V.P. Singh Kurki in the male category. Among the female contestants, Sanghia, Aradhana, Neha and Priyanka bagged victory.

Said Harsh, from New Delhi, after emerging victorious, “I am very happy with the success I have tasted today, although that's not all. It is still a long way to realising my dream of walking the international ramps. But I am confident that I'll do it ultimately.”

Said Shruti about the winners, “The level of grooming and preparation that these models will undergo ensures that the end result will be a supermodel that will take the fashion world by storm.” Hear, hear.
