UTV STARS is all set to launch Baatein Ankahin , a new show where experts will help audience decode the truth behind the body language of Bollywood celebs.
A panel of three experts — theatre personality Mujeeb Khan, image consultant Samta Gala and Mumbai-based clinical psychologist Supriya Nair — will judge the verbal and non-verbal cues of the celebs based on the body posture, gestures, eye movements and facial expressions.
Supriya says, “The concept for this show is extremely engaging. In India, we don’t have non-verbal analysis for celebrities. Of course, they may have their image consultants, but the non-verbal sometimes betrays in the tussle between the conscious and the sub-conscious mind.”
The first episode is about the dynamics of some ‘real life couples’. The show has picked Saif-Kareena, Salman-Katrina, Shahid-Priyanka and Anushka-Ranveer for the analysis. “Between Ranveer and Anushka, Anushka comes across as a super-confident woman who can look straight into your eye, while Ranveer seems like someone who is out to please. As for Saif and Kareena, Saif shows a business-like look, while Bebo still retains intimacy in public places. Katrina is not able to handle dominance and with Salman’s macho I-don’t-care-two-hoots attitude, it’s worse for her. Priyanka and Shahid manage to effectively look like great buddies denying romantic link-ups. So if they are acting that part out, they are definitely great actors. They emanate parity. Priyanka is the more confident one while Shahid can be self-assured yet insecure at times,” Supriya reveals.
