The “Munni badnaam hui” girl Malaika Arora Khan is still hitting the popularity charts and spreading her charm. A part of the show “Stars In your City”, UTV Stars brought the actress to the Capital to meet her five fans from the city and to soak the culture the Capital is known for.

“I’ve been to Delhi before but not in this way. It’s an overwhelming experience to be able to savour the delights that it has to offer. It’s not wrong when you say ‘Dilli dilwalon ki’. Truly, Delhi is a beautiful experience,” she said.

Beating the Capital’s heat in her own way, she displayed her culinary skills in making a refreshing lassi. The exhilarated fans received dresses and accessories from her recently launched clothing line The Closet Label. “The collection is all about effortless, affordable and chic clothing. It’s for every mood,” she said.

Since the clothing line has nothing to offer to boys, her male fans were a little disgruntled, but cheerful overall. “It was a wonderful experience and I got a chance to meet Malaika,” one of them said. “What more does a boy want?”

Malaika also addressed questions by the media. Asked about the constant pressure to look good, she said, “In our profession dressing up is really important, there’s an intense scrutiny on how we look. Apart from that today’s youth are far more fashionable and fashion conscious than I was at that age, I could barely put a pair of jeans and a top together but now you look at an average college girl, she’s so much more fashionable, she knows exactly what she wants, what to wear, what the hair should be like.”

Since “dynamic” Delhi was her first choice for the city she wanted to visit as a part of the tour, she also divulged some of her guilty pleasures. “I always go out for chaat ; my friends always take me and I go crazy whenever I go. Dahi bhalla and pani-puri , just bring it on! There are also a lot of restaurants that I frequent whenever I’m in Delhi. I just have to dine out.”

About her next appearance on the big screen, the actor said, “It’ll be a while because we’re mostly concentrating on making films for now. On the other hand, on the small screen I will be doing a show in the next couple of months. I love being part of the small screen shows and reality shows — that is something I can’t do without.”
