Christmas is around the corner and shops in the city are gearing up for the season of good cheer. And while shop keepers are set for a surge of customers, so are online retailers like Pulkoodu.com for instance.

A year old, >Pulkoodu.com was started by IT professionals Anish John and Arun A.S. “This Christmas, instead of package deals, which consist of crib, clay statues, decorations and so on, we are selling individual products too. We have added a few more items to our list – cake, greeting cards and flowers,” says Anish, who runs Neovibe Innovative Technologies, a company which is into software development, website designing and development, and the like.

While last year, the online and delivery service was limited to the city, this year Pulkodu.com is going state wide.

“We have a tie-up with a courier service provider. City-based customers can opt for the cash on delivery service but others will have to make payments online,” says Anish.

An active member of his church, it was while shopping for Christmas decorations for his church that the seed of thought for such a site came to Anish. Shocked at how the prices for Christmas trinkets had shot up and at how the very same products were relatively cheaper in nearby Nagercoil, he approached his friend Arun with the viability of launching a website for exclusive Christmas products at affordable prices.

Arun, an expert in online marketing helped start Pulkoodu. The two member team has since grown with three more members to the group – Akhil R.P., Krishnakumar and Akhil Gopakumar.

The Christmas sale of products at Pulkoodu.com will start on November 25 and end on December 20. Contact: 9746182252
