Everything was dark around me. The night was so dark that it was not possible to make out anything. The stars forgot to shine. The moon was masked by the clouds. I was scared. I was alone. I needed a shoulder to comfort me, to let me cry. I looked around frantically, wanting to see someone, anyone. Nobody was there. I lost faith in everything around me.

I cuddled into a ball in the corner of the road and tried to hide myself, cover myself. Sleep wouldn’t come. The shoulders that I badly needed never came. A feeling of restlessness and uncertainty took over me. The world had given up on me. It was then that I saw a small light; very far, very dull, but definitely a light, beginning to appear in the horizon. It slowly emerged, magnificent and beautiful. It gave me confidence. It gave me strength. It gave me faith. The sun rose. World was enveloped in brightness. Everything was okay.

The sun will rise. The sun always rises, no matter what.
