Vacation. The word brings boundless joy to just about everybody, young or old. Anybody but us. Lost? Behold, the not-so-small community of students who are already ‘placed’ in multinational companies and are eagerly awaiting their call letter like a forlorn lover waiting for her long lost husband.

Not getting placed is one thing, but to wait through months in hope is pure agony. I’m not here to preach or complain.

I’m merely trying to reach out to my fellow compatriots and share my ideas on how to spend this time.

- Join a course or a startup. Money and Knowledge —a lethal combination that never fails.

- Remember that book you wanted to read? Or the garden you wanted to create in your rooftop? Or the karate class? Now is the time. Pursue all those interests that you had to forgo because you had no time.(sigh!)

- Volunteer at a local NGO. It never hurts to do a good thing

- If you are planning on studying further, hoard information now and start building your resume accordingly.

Coming to think of it, there is so much we can do and not enough time ! So sit down , make your own bucket list and have fun! It’s vacation after all!
