Hoardings — Less of a distraction and more of a boon!

The sun has departed. It’s dusk. I started my vehicle to reach home. I enjoy the cold breeze and like many I too looked around. But the only thing that made me take a second look was the hoardings. I saw how these hoardings contained information representing their respective firms, which is difficult for a person to read in one go especially while driving. I could see the wonderful wordings, the dreamy designs and the luminous lighting it had. I asked myself if these hoardings have any other purpose than attracting people for offers available.

I almost smiled at the question I asked myself but before I could think more I almost hit a vehicle ahead of me. I could not see the vehicle well as the so called street lights in our city hardly glow. But thank God for the hoardings. They are the ones which illuminated the road at the right spot and helped me in saving my life.

I think now you would have got an idea of what I am trying to convey. Yes you are correct, I am thankful to hoardings and banners which illuminate our roads during dusk. In reality they are our path guide. They are more dedicated and at our service than the street lights whose light is hardly enough to see what’s in front. Serious steps need to be taken about the old sodium vapour lamps to avert untoward incidents.
