We have laughed, danced, and tussled like cats, pulling each other’s hair till our mother would pinch our ears. We talked all night about our imaginary princes Charming, describing his velvety qualities. And now those nights won’t come back as my sister has finally found her prince!
As much as I’m excited about taking over her room and all her cool stuff, the thought of having to endure our mother’s incessant yelling for not waking up early or folding the clothes and tidying our rooms, makes me want to tell my sister that I’ll miss her, although it would mean a huge blow to my pride. I would sound soppy and pathetic! When I see her spend hours together with my awesome brother-in-law-to-be, every second with my chemistry book seems like I’m light years away from her! So having weighed out the pros and cons, I have reached the conclusion that her life is more happening than mine I spend with my sixth edition text books. But it also means she’s happy, and as her maid of honour, I’ll make sure she is. But I’ll see to it that I grab that bouquet!
