Yesterday I went into the kitchen to get some snacks and found our servant complaining about plastic bags. All over the city, many shops and supermarkets have started charging a certain amount for plastic bags. This is mainly to reduce the production of plastic and a small step towards saving our environment.

But a lot of people are complaining about this. The main issue is: “If they don't give me plastic bags, how am I supposed to carry the things home?” Very few people have thought of a solution for this while the rest continue to whine. It’s simple. If they don’t give you a bag, take your own! From now on, whenever you go to a supermarket, take a bag or two with you. If you are going in your car, take a cardboard box and put it in the back.

The next issue is awareness. Most uneducated people have no idea about global warming or the disadvantages of plastic. So educated people have to take care and create awareness. It’s not very difficult. Talk to them about it and encourage them also to use cloth or jute bags instead of plastic. Together, we can make the world greener!
