Which of our Kollywood actors would with the bill?
With Skyfall releasing this week, here’s a look at our very own South James Bonds…
Rajinikanth: Stylish roles suit our Super Star perfectly. A small cameo of his “James Bond 007” character in the movie Kuselan was well received. Due to his huge fan following, this Bond can surely do well in box-office, especially in Japan.
Kamal Haasan: Kamal has already tried a similar role in Vikram way back in 1986. His role as Raghavan in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu makes him a winner. Besides, he can romance the Bond girls with élan.
Ajith Kumar: James Bond 007’s main criterion is a good personality. Ajith has an advantage in this aspect. His look in movies like Billa is similar to Bond. Being a good racer, he can have some car or bike stunts thrown in.
Vijay: Vijay’s look in the film Thuppaki and its posters have already raised questions: is it a James Bond-type film? Vijay had signed a spy flick titled Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru, which has now been shelved.
Suriya: A James Bond also requires good fitness/physique and here’s where Suriya towers over his competitors. Some fight sequences in Ayan are similar to the stunts in Casino Royale. His role as ACP Anbuchelvan in Kaakha Kaakha is the best example of his romance/action capabilities.
Vikram: Vikram’s look in Kanthasamy and his qualification in the personality and the physique department is his plus. His role in Thandavam also adds to his credibility as a spy.
