Managing hair... naturally

Natural hair care is what you need to turn to if your hair has been excessively coloured, straightened, bleached, or damaged in any way. Before you start making use of some of these natural hair care products, consider these tips:

Make sure you are using the right shampoo.

Always get a shampoo that is suited for your hair type.

A shampoo for dry hair might smell better, but it doesn't mean that it will fit your hair's needs. Take the advice of you hairdresser on what suits you best.

Change the shampoo often. Hair gets immune to a certain shampoo if the shampoo has been used for too long. Try a new one; see if you notice any changes. Major hair care companies have come out with natural but state of the art technology shampoos and conditioners that are twice more effective than home made remedies.

Apply hair packs and natural hair treatments once or twice a week. The more nourishment you provide, the healthier hair will be.

Avoid using henna; it makes the hair brittle and dries the scalp out, which may lead to dandruff.

Trim your hair regularly. Remove the damaged ends.

You could always buy a shampoo, but there are homemade recipes that are cheaper to make and all natural. Oily hair shampoo and conditioner target the excess oil that causes the hair to become oily. On the other side, there are dry hair shampoo recipes that restore the moisture and prevent dry, flaky skin of the scalp.

Grease control

There is a simple way to get rid of greasy hair. Every time you shampoo your hair, mix a little freshly squeezed lime juice in and shampoo the hair. Rinse off well. This way, you will control the oiliness of the scalp.

Special formulations using Spruce powder, Ginseng, Avocado, Rice, Fig are available as in-salon treatments. In these treatments the goodness of nature combined with technology speeds up the repair processes in the hair. These treatments take around an hour's duration by therapists and are to be done every fortnight. It specially caters to hair loss problems and damaged hair.
