We are…

It was more of an incident. All the guys were part of a heavy metal band that used to do covers. One evening we were just chilling out in our newly revamped jam room. Perhaps it was the ambience of the room — dim orange lights, air conditioning, herbs — that started it all.

We started jamming and along the way we felt things were sounding pretty spaced out. By 10 that night we almost structured our first song, ‘Acid Rain’. With the modest goal of just checking out how we sounded on stage and audience response, we decided to perform at a college competition, the next day. We named our band en route to Kochi. After the gig, the judge (Sunil Sylvester of Evergreen fame) said that we’d got a unique sound, and to work on the tones and play tighter. We never looked back. Now we created a separate space for our music. We have played in many shows in the recent past with quite a bit of positive feedback from the crowd and organisers.

Music we play

We try to mix various elements of psychedelic/post/alternative rock. Post-Rock is a genre that was not much experimented with in our country as much as hard rock and metal. So we are trying to contribute our best.

Influenced by…

We are influenced by many musicians individually, as most of us were in Metal bands. But as a band we are mostly influenced by Pink Floyd, God is an Astronaut, Explosions in the Sky, Ozric Tentacles, Agalloch, ISIS and other ambient, atmospheric, post rock/metal music.

Climbing the ladder

No huge achievements yet, but we believe we have managed to be known as a band with a unique musical style. We have got very positive feedback during our shows.

In their court

Apart from our hometown, our important shows have been The Big Mushroom Cloud festival (Bangalore), Unseen Underground Saturday Night Live @ Geoffrey’s pub (Chennai), Zero Degree Pub (Coimbatore), Moshpit concert and Celebrate Keralam (Ernakulam), Blackout (Kannur), Purple Lounge Pub (Thiruvananthapuram), Paani (Kohzikode), Gathering Storm (Willingdon Island, Kerala )

Crowd dynamics…

We like playing shows to an energetic crowd with an open mind. We had an amazing experience playing in Chennai. Looking forward to more fun shows.
