I used to have a biased opinion about transgenders but not anymore, thanks to the one who opened my eyes. Sometime ago, a family moved in our neighbourhood, and one of its members was a transgender.
While interacting with the family I came to know that this person, though highly qualified, was unemployed because no one was willing to offer the person a job.
Frustrated and dejected, the person started a tuition centre in our neighbourhood. Initially, everyone was apprehensive to send their children for tuition there, but slowly they recognised the skill and ability of the person. Now everybody sends their children there and the centre has grown multifold. People have started respecting the person.
If jobs are offered to transgenders they can become independent and live their life with dignity and respect.
