Nobody likes to talk numbers here but news has trickled out that Priyanka Chopra has agreed to her first ever item number in Shootout At Wadala at a whopping price of Rs. 2.8 crores! The actor has reportedly asked for the fee she takes for a movie and the producer (Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Motion Pictures) has not denied her as this is going to be the launch pad of the film!
Marketing whiz
Meanwhile, from the sets of Peekay comes news that the radio set is an important part of the script. Pictures of Aamir Khan from the film have been selectively leaked earlier and one of them shows him in a ladies’ lehenga with a blazer and the other shows him in a rather tight-fitted shirt. Both times with a radio set slung around his neck. He is the master of marketing. And we are waiting.
Making Munnabhai?
News is just in that due to some date troubles, Rajkumar Hirani is not directing the third of the Munnabhai series! Stepping into his shoes is Subhash Kapoor, the director of the yet-to-be-released Jolly LLB. While the confusion over the news persists with Raju himself admitting earlier to the media that he was working on the third Munnabhai film after he had finished scripting for Aamir Khan-starrer Peekay. The third of the highly successful franchise has been in troubled waters since its inception. It was earlier tentatively titled Munnabhia Chale Amrika and a first look poster was also designed. Raju and his co-writer Abhijat had written the script but were not happy with the second half which reportedly got sorted. It is now being called Munnabhai Chale Delhi. At least for now, may we add.
