Several film makers attend the audio launch of ‘Gandhi Kanakku'

The audio function of “Gandhi Kanakku” was attended by many film makers including K. Bhagyaraj, Bala, R. Sundarrajan, ‘Kalaipuli' S.Thanu, S. P.Jananathan, Gnana Rajasekaran, A.Venkatesh, Perarasu, Manojkumar, Fasil, Visu, Manobala, Balasekaran, S.S.Stanely, Praveenkanth, Saravana Subbaiya, A.Sargunam, “Mugavari” Durai and Thamira.

Artists and technicians of the film — Ramana, Reecha Sinha, Srinath, Devadarshini, Manobala, Manohar, S. N. Lakshmi and Muthukalai were also present. The film is shot by S. Karthik the music is composed by A.K. Rishal Sai and editing is by Suresh Ars. Produced by G.P.S. for Pooja Film International, it is directed by A. Sampath Arumugam, who also gets the credit for story, screenplay and dialogues. According to the director, “The story is based on true incidents and revolves around the banking scenario. It shows how banks deal with customers who have availed loans. The film is in the post-production stage”.

There are eight songs in the film and the last one is an instrumental version of ‘Evala Evala' sung by Karthik and penned by the music director. S. P. Balasubramaniam's voice leaves you mesmerised in ‘Podu Podu', written by Na.Muthukumar. Another nice number written by Na. Muthukumar is ‘Devathayae Devathayae' sung by Karthik. The lyricists come up with lovely verses for the duet ‘Iyayayoo Iyayayoo' by Prasanna and Vinitha. ‘Vizhigal Podum' is sung by Chinmayi and ‘Ko ko Karako' is sung by the music director along with Prasanthini. It is written by Sirkazhi Sirpi. In the solo voice of Prasanna comes a fine number ‘Kalakka Poranda' which is also written by Na.Muthukumar.
