Concept : A love story narrated from the point of view of the protagonist as the characters travel towards a thrilling climax. Like some of the young actors of the day, newcomer Shekar too wants to experiment with his screen characters within the commercial realm. Trained in the art of cinema, the budding hero plays lovelorn youth in his first attempt at such romantic thriller.
Actor Shekar speaks : The story is set in a middle class family. I play the role of an employee of as satellite television service provider, fixing the services at homes. He is a very ordinary guy who falls in love with a girl from the neighbourhood. The heroine role played by Sushma is from Bangalore and is making her debut in Telugu cinema. She is cast as a college student. What starts as a blissful love story between them soon takes a curious turn into a relationship of misunderstandings that leads to tiffs and separation. Will they unite, is the suspense part. M.S. Narayana is cast in an important role as a lorry driver and Dhanraj plays his assistant. Ambati Srinu is in a key role as the hero’s friend.
Apart from taut screenplay and Vardhan’s expertise direction, Nagesh Acharya’s excellent visuals, music is the backbone for this sublime love story. ‘Okato class pass ayyanu...’ written and composed by Chinni Charan and rendered by Harish Raghavendra is easily the best among them. The melodious number will linger in the minds of discerning film music lovers for a long time. We shot it at the Golden Valley Engineering College, Madanapally. Among the songs composed by Mithun, the duet ‘Sakhiya Sakhiya’ was shot in the picturesque locations in Sri Lanka and Bangkok and the peppy number ‘Baby Boy’ rendered by debut singer Babitha in Goa with 25 dancers and a Russia model Diana. Producers Varma (Shekar’s elder brother), a popular distributor and P. Ramesh Babu are planning to hold the audio function in Madanapally.
Progress : Presented by Wing Commander K.N. Rao, the movie is in its postproduction work at Sabdalaya and Annapurna Studios and is slated for release in the last week of May.
