Director Shankar’s I trailer on Sony Music India’s YouTube channel has clocked over 2 million views in 24 hours, the fastest for even a Bollywood film, a feat achieved by no Indian director before.
Ashok Parwani, Head South, Sony Music India said, “This is a first for us too, we have not witnessed such a huge pick up for any trailer. ‘ I ’ will set new benchmarks across film industry’s and we are proud to be associated with the magnum opus.”
The music launch in Chennai was the talk of the nation with Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the chief guest at the spectacle. The evening witnessed a bevy of stars from the film industry. Oscar winner A.R. Rahman‘s music had the stadium of 5000 fans mesmerised.
The film stars Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead. Set to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and in all major Indian languages, I will be the first Indian film to be dubbed into Chinese!
