An easy-to-prepare nutritious laddu redolent of elaichi

I learnt to make sweet potato laddu, which is easy to prepare, from my grandmother. Children like the taste a lot, and it makes for a delicious, rich evening snack. You can even make sweet poli using this laddu as filling.

What you need

Sweet potato: 250 gm

Sugar: 200 gm

Grated coconut: 100 gm

Ghee: 2 tsp

Elachi Powder: a pinch

Cooking Instructions

Boil the sweet potato, peel and mash well.

Add sugar, grated coconut, ghee and elachi powder.

Mix well and shape into balls.

Garnish with slivers of almond and cashew.
