Goand ke ladoo is a traditional sweet made in Memon families during weddings. I learnt this recipe from my grandmother.

What you need

Semolina – 1/4 kg

Wheat flour – 1/2 kg

Powdered sugar - 300 gm

Black gram - 100 gm

Almonds - 200 gm

Pistachios - 100 gm

Cardamom - 10 gm

Katira goand (gum) -150 gm

Ghee – 1/2 kg

Cooking instructions

Heat ghee in a pan and deep fry the semolina. Fry the wheat flour and black gram in ghee separately until it turns brown. Mix all the three ingredients. Then roast the almonds and pistachios in ghee and powder them. Fry the goand and powder it. Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to the goand and powdered almonds and the mixture of semolina, wheat flour and black gram and mix well. Make round ladoos while the mixture is hot and allow to cool for an hour before serving.
