Music director C. Sathya is a happy man; his work in Kanchana-2 has been appreciated. “When Lawrence master asked me to do a song for him, I came up with the ‘Silatta Palatta’ song that has become a huge hit,” he says. However, he’s also a little sad because he was to work with the late K. Balachander. “Lyricist Vairamuthu and I were supposed to work on his next film. I was on cloud nine that I was going to be working on his project. When I heard that he passed away, I was in tears, and, till date, I have not been able to bear the loss of not being able to work with the legend.”

This music director started his career by composing jingles and music for TV serials. While his debut in Kollywood was Engeyum Eppothum, his upcoming ventures are Asura Kulam, Maane Thene Peye and Kidna besides others.
