Families in Chennai have a new entertainment destination to spend their leisure time at. Pavithra Ramamurthy and Anitha Chandramouli, the two women behind FunBelievable, have come up with an amusement park at Coromandel Plaza in Navalur.

What is different in this theme park? “We have tried to make it more family friendly. We have installed games such as mini-bowling that will appeal to both adults and kids, ” says Pavithra. Having spent 15 years in Philadelphia, Pavithra realised that Chennai had very few options when it came to entertainment, “When I moved here, my kids felt that there weren’t many options. Hence, I came up with this idea.”

The 12,000 sq.ft. park boasts of a mini-bowling alley, archery, paintball and more, all of which have been imported from the United States. Talking about safety issues, Pavithra says that the personnel overseeing the games are trained by experts. “Villu Archery Academy, affiliated to Chennai Archery Academy, has come forward to train our staff in safety measures.” The complex was inaugurated recently by actor Raadhika Sarath Kumar who, after lighting the lamp, also played some games. While the shutter bugs focussed on Raadhika, 25 kids from Seva Samajam were having fun playing games.
