Tata Chemicals announces the ‘Best Chemistry Teacher Award'

The United Nations has declared this year as the ‘International Year of Chemistry (IYC) 2011'. It is a worldwide initiative that focuses on the achievements of Chemistry and its contributions to the well-being of humankind. Tata Chemicals Limited (TCL) announces the “Best Chemistry Teacher Award (BCTA)” to recognise Chemistry teachers in India.

The initiative has been launched in collaboration with the Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT). Teachers can be a part of this competition through the process of self-nomination, nomination through a nominator i.e. students/ colleges/ others or nomination through ACT regional offices. Teachers teaching classes XI and XII, graduate and post-graduate levels can be nominated through the website >www.humantouchofchemistry.com apart from the network of Association of Chemistry Teachers in India.

The winners will be selected by a panel consisting of scientists, industry professional and academia apart from the response of students through various social media platforms. The last date of registration is October 8, 2011.
