Ever wanted to grab a quick bite on your way to that all important meeting or maybe dinner on the go before that late night movie but you’re craving Indian food? While grabbing a pizza or a burger on the go might be an easy choice being able to wolf down wholesome Indian delicacies while on the move has been a bit of a challenge. It was with this loophole in the fast Indian food sector in mind that Sandeep Varma and Raju Bupathi decided to set up Hello Curry in late 2013 as a food delivery service and recently threw open the doors to their eatery in Hitec City.

Set up in January this year the restaurant itself has a bright and quirky feel to it with plenty of natural light and graffiti dotting the walls; there’s even a blackboard with chalk art at the entrance. With a number of Indian delicacies on their menu served in easy to carry boxes, Hello Curry leaves one spoilt for choice. You could begin your meal with a quick order of kebabs like Paneer Tikka or Achaari Chicken Tikka before moving on to some roti sabji wraps or rice with curries. The average serving time in the restaurant is three minutes, with piping hot and fresh food making its way across the restaurant in quick succession.

We tried their appropriately spiced Chettinad Chicken served with Pulao Rice and were impressed. There’s no overdose of grease or spices and the pulao rice was soft, fluffy and well seasoned. The Butter Chicken too is a good option if you are craving a buttery fix, while Biryani lovers will find their tastes looked after as well with a choice of Vegetable Biryani, Egg Biryani, Chicken Biryani and Spicy Chicken Tikka Biryani all served with raita and salan.

For those trying to stay off rice there's a variety of rotis served with curries of your choice, some as wraps to make it easier to carry with you if have no time for a leisurely sit-down meal. “Our menu has been designed keeping in mind the busy professionals who are usually hard pressed for time. While our other branches are delivery services only the Hitec City restaurant is a good option for office goers looking for a quick lunch. We also deliver food to people on the move based on their location and get a lot of calls requesting for delivery in their cars during a commute,” says Sandeep.

The restaurant also serves flavoured lassis and soft drinks in easy to carry packs for the busy professional apart from a select variety of desserts like Qubani ka Meetha.

What also works for this quick service restaurant is its price point, with most regular portions of dishes being priced below Rs. 160.
