“Beauty is all about leading a healthy lifestyle and taking care of your emotional well being,” says Karisma Kapoor. “It is also who you are on the inside. I eat healthy, I like going on walks and spending quality time with my kids,” the actor said with a smile at a promotional event for Pond’s Gold Radiance.

The ever graceful Karisma won over the public with her dazzling smile and charm as she gave away prizes to the lucky winners of a contest held last month by Health and Glow.

Karisma the brand ambassador for the anti-ageing serum spoke about the importance of striking a balance in one’s professional and personal life. “The young Indian woman is juggling many roles today. I believe women should take some time out for themselves,” she insists. “My children are very young and are my priority so I go back home every evening and give them my undivided attention. That’s what keeps me going.”

The diva stunned everyone in a sparkling gold lace outfit and looked simple, yet elegant in diamond studs. She said her style statement is being minimalistic when it comes to jewellery. “I love white, black and golden! To me, the most glamorous red-carpet attire is the sari.”

She also spoke about her association with renowned designer Vikram Phadnis at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013 for which she was the show stopper. “Vikram and I go back a long way.”

Karisma seems to look forward to the festive season ahead. “Christmas is a family time for me. We are very traditional and I love to spend the holidays together with my kids and enjoy good food.”
