What's on your feet?

What's on your feet?

Some tips to help you put your trendy foot forward…

As fashion lovers; when we think of designers, we think of clothes and barely remember footwear! Although we choose something that stops us from stepping on the dirty streets of the bustling town, we forget that it is the finishing touch of any outfit. It adds a unique style and often transforms a simple jeans and tee. Your shoe could make or break any outfit. Not keeping this in mind, people often wear beautiful clothes, forgetting to add beauty to their feet. This is also because we do not emphasise on shoes as much as everything else fashionable.

What's in

For those delicate feminine feet, it seems like the Greek have their say. Gladiators are in, regardless of their style, height or colour. If you're wondering what to match your skinny jeans, salwar or even your short daisy dukes, the gladiators are your safest bet. Your strongest assurance would be to follow in the footsteps of fashionistas like Blake Lively and Rachel Bilson. From their gladiator heels to their gladiator flats, they never fail to add a bit of fierceness to their stride. They go pretty much with everything your wardrobe can hold.

If you're ever at a store, confused, looking at millions of colours, then earthly or matte tones are what you should be looking for. A darker brown compliments the duller section of closet that includes your fades. On the darker side or more floral prints, go for the beige or the white for your feet. But for a night out with your friends, a black-heeled gladiator will show your legs off with every dress you wear.

“ I had a very simple dress that lacked the extra uhmp to be taken out. All I had to do was match them with my black gladiator heels and they were ready to go out,” says Nitika Sachdev.

The only set of gladiators caught by the fashion police are those high tops. If you have the choice of buying just one, this is not your section of the store. The hardest thing about them is: what are you going to wear them with? They are not the pair of shoes that would work with anything. Plus, for many girls out there, your legs are just long enough to entertain them.

For the boys

For those lazy boys out there, who want to make it look like they just got out of bed, your outfit and personality goes best with some simple flip-flops. The ones that have caught my eye, with a small price tag are those at Adidas or puma.

But of course, making your feet look good at night come with a lot of more effort. Go for the glam. Match your nice shirt and jeans with a shiny shoe of the brand you like. Right now, what's in for you guys is the metallic shine. They go with anything you wear and brighten your outfit up.

Do not think of the matte, plain blacks and browns. Much like their colour, they add age to your feet. So bring on the shine on your shoes and show off your feet. Make every outfit you wear, worth wearing; your shoes are more important than you think.
