Recently, Dream Zone School of Creative Studies conducted the sixth edition of ‘Vibes 360 Show’ in which 48 students of Fashion Design showcased their creations. The fashion show was a platform for garment manufacturers, buyers and investors to see first-hand, the talent of these student designers. The event was conducted on the National Institute of Fashion Technology campus in Taramani. The show marked the last day of World Designers’ Week celebrated by the institute.

The students collectively put up 185 garments under various themes such as Pantone Mania, Metallio, Purple Paradise, etc. The show was choreographed by Karun Raman, who is doing it for the second time. “As a designer myself, I am thrilled there is a platform such as this for young designers to showcase their talent,” he says.

Film personalities such as Namitha, Uma Riyaz Khan and Devayani were present at the event, cheering the designers.

“It’s good to see new talent and upcoming designers,” said model Apoorva Viswanathan who wore ‘Pride’ from the Cardinal Sins collection — one of the high points of the show.

Student Sonu Achha said: “To be able to think and dream for ourselves, and see it come true in a platform such as this is fantastic.” The winner Gopinath collected a cheque of Rs. 10,000 from Reach Technologies for his theme ‘Window to Souls’.

At the show, The Rules dance academy’s troupes entertained the audiences with performances to popular songs.
