“The collection is not only for the brides but has something for everyone,” says the designer, whose forte is traditional clothing like salwar kameez and saris. She has used a variety of fabrics to create these beautiful pieces like net, georgette along with a touch of velvet and for colour palette, she has chosen from red, lilac maroon, peacock blue etc. Swarovski crystals combined with cut work embroidery borders form some of her dresses. “The customer preferences have also witnessed a change over the years. Earlier people used to go in for unstitched clothes but now a days they prefer stitched ones,” adds Pooja, who has also designed embroidered petticoats.

It’s her skill that her clothes with all those embellishments aren’t heavy but light-weight.

According to her, in the wedding trousseau, gota work will never lose its appeal. Pooja has come up with exclusive designs in red, lilac maroon, peacock and many others.

The temple jewellery inspired by Lord Shiva draws from Hindu iconography and there are pieces inspired by goddess Parvati and laughing Buddha. The range comprises precious and semi-precious stones along with a touch of pearl that gives a royal look to the jewellery.

While the jewellery collection ranges from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 15000, the wedding wear range begins from Rs. 5999 to Rs. 25999. She has also launched her website where she will be showcasing her new collection.
