Suggest ways to prevent sensitive skin from dryness.Manjula

Why do you say you have sensitive skin? Is it prone to pimples? If so, avoid creams and moisturisers. Mix one teaspoon of pure glycerine with 100 ml of rose water and store it in an airtight glass bottle in the refrigerator. Apply a little of this lotion to relieve dryness. You can also mix one teaspoon each of honey and milk and apply it daily on your face. Wash it off after 10 minutes. Use a mild glycerine soap.

My mother is 52 and has dark patches on her cheeks.Aparajita

Your mother should apply a sunscreen with a high SPF before going out in the sun. She can mix ground almonds with curd and use it as a facial scrub once or twice a week. She should apply it only on the dark patches and rub it gently on the skin with tiny circular movements. After leaving it on for a few minutes, she can wash it off. She can mix honey and lemon juice in equal quantities and apply it daily only on the dark patches. It can be washed off after 15 minutes. If the skin is dry, she should massage her face with nourishing cream or pure almond oil daily at night and then wipe it off with moist cotton wool. Twice a week, apply a face mask. Mix three teaspoons of oatmeal with one teaspoon each of honey, curd and lemon juice, or egg white. It should be applied on the entire face, avoiding the lips and the area around the eyes, and washed off after half an hour.

Suggest home remedies that will help get rid of facial hair.Vaishnavi

Home remedies do not remove facial hair, but they are said to lessen the growth if used regularly over a period of time. Try the following remedies that help discourage the growth. Make a thick paste of sugar, lemon juice and water and apply it in the direction of the growth. Wash it off after it dries. Apply it once or twice a week. Make a paste of turmeric powder and milk, and rub this on the skin with a circular motion. It is said to discourage facial hair, but it may leave a slight yellowish colour on the skin.
