What if you have 40 guests from abroad who are here to attend a wedding and demand fancy make-up services to be arranged at home that too at a reasonable price? Well, Tina Talwar and Vani Talwar Khosla, have the solution with The Powder Room, their premium grooming facility. Launched last November in Delhi, it’s the first-of-its-kind mobile beauty service. The idea is to offer services in the comfort of your own home. The Powder Room provides on-location make-over facilities to take the stress out of last-minute parlour appointments. The duo plans to extend this to other cities as well.

It isn’t just about having a make-up artist and a hair stylist come over to your residence, it is the whole set up — a well-stocked trolley with premium make-up brands, mirrors, foldable chairs, lights and more. We all sometimes would love to look the perfect model straight out of a magazine but do not have the make-up skills to back that desire. The Powder Room can help you stand out at an event or a party. Not just make-up, it also offers various treatments. A service like this which integrates beauty routines flexibly can make the whole experience relaxed. “Our main challenge was getting our logistics in place. It is something we didn’t think would be hard. Beating the traffic and travelling distances were initially challenging with back-to-back appointments but we have now sorted it out well,” says Vani.
