INOX & SWABHIMAAN Oserves World Autism Awareness Day
Chennai, 28March 2013: INOX, Chennai in association with SWABHIMAAN-Holistic solutions for Autism is all set to organise World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2013.
On the occasion, INOX & SWABHIMAAN willlaunch the Autism Awareness Campaign and release the Autism Awareness Poster followed by artistic talent display by children with Autism. The timing of the event is scheduled between 10.00am and 11.30am
Around 1000 posters in English and Tamil regarding identification signs of Autism shall be displayed all over Chennai in all the clinics, elementary and nursery schools, government offices, police stations, railway stations, airport, bus stations, montessori establishments and kinder gardens to educate people more on Autism Awareness to ensure the early identification and there by early intervention for the children with Autism.
Chief Justice Mani Kumar from the Madras High Court, Mr.Gopinath -TV Personality, Mr.Vikram Cotah-Vice President-Raddisson GRT Hotel & Movie Director-Mr.Radha Mohan along with the team of SWABHIMAAN shall be releasing the Autism awareness poster at INOX Chennai.
The art works of the children shall also be displayed at INOX for the whole day
Dr.Partheeban- Director-Swabhimaan says- Swabhimaan trust is an organization working for the welfare of children and adults autism in chennai for the past six years. Swabhimaan caters to all the needs of the children with Autism including early identification and early intervention, therapeutic services, medical and health care, special schooling and vocational training for young adults.
Autism is a complex developmental disorder that typically appears during the first three years of life, impacting development in all areas, especially social interaction and communication skills. This portentous epidemic has claimed the minds of hundreds of thousands of young children. The incidence of Autism is in alarming rise. The recent CDC (centre for disease control and prevention) study from United States says 1 in 50 children come under Autism spectrum, which now surpasses both childhood cancer and Down’s syndrome. We are looking forward to educate people more on the campaign on Autism”
